Tatamagouche Centre, Nova Scotia
This year we will be joined by Gregorio Ajcot Sosof from the Mesoamerican Permaculture Institute in Guatemala who will share insights and information about permaculture and food sovereignty. Goyo is an adult educator and offers workshops and tours about how permaculture relates to and complements Maya cosmovision.
We will also have with us Antonio Catalán, an investigator with the HumanRights Defenders Protection Unit(UDEFEGUA). UDEFEGUA helps to protect the security of human rights defenders in Guatemala and protect the political spaces in which they work. Tono will provide a contextual analysis of the human rights situation in Guatemala.
We will also hear from returned interns and accompaniers, and get updates, news and analysis about the situation in Guatemala. Come learn, reconnect, and be inspired!
